Educational Common Rail Pump Test Bench Transparent Safety Enclosure Fault Simulation CRP-EDU2

The CRP-EDU2 is a teaching version of a common rail pump test bench, built for vocational colleges, technical universities and OEM training centres. It runs the same 2500 bar pressure circuit and the same electronic control architecture as a production bench, but every functional block stays visible: the pump cradle, rail, pressure control valve and flow meter sit behind clear polycarbonate panels, so students can trace the hydraulic path while the test runs.

The core teaching feature is a fault injection module. An instructor can introduce a defined fault, for example a restricted return line, a sticking pressure control valve or a degraded pumping element, and the class then diagnoses it from live data. Each fault is logged by the system against the session, so assessment is based on the student diagnosis path rather than on a written answer copied from a textbook.

Safety is designed in rather than added on. The enclosure is interlocked, the drive is limited to 1500 rpm and 1200 bar in teaching mode, and the emergency stop isolates the motor and the high pressure circuit together. An instructor key unlocks the full 2500 bar range for demonstration runs, and a curriculum pack of twelve guided exercises ships with the machine.

Deployed in diesel mechanic programmes, mechatronics courses and dealer training academies, the CRP-EDU2 gives students real hands on time with a common rail circuit instead of a screen based simulator. Because the bench is a genuine test bench, the skills transfer directly to the workshop equipment students meet after graduation.

Training centres also use the machine for instructor certification and for refresher courses on high pressure diesel safety, since the interlocked enclosure lets trainees practise correct isolation procedure without exposure to an unguarded 2500 bar line.

The bench ships partly assembled in a single plywood case with the enclosure panels protected by foam. Legs and the control console are removed for transport and reattach with captive bolts. The curriculum pack, instructor key and a set of spare seals travel in a dedicated drawer inside the crate.

Each unit is verified against a reference pump and a documented fault injection sequence before dispatch, and the acceptance report lists every injected fault with the observable a student should detect. Warranty is twenty four months on the frame and enclosure and twelve months on the electronics, with one remote instructor onboarding session included.
